Legislative update

A reminder: the pension conference committee meets today at 3 p.m. in Room 409 of the Capitol. I’ll be on hand for the hearing and around earlier in the day if anything comes up. I am not sure yet if the conferees will break up into their subcommittees afterward. Representatives of the three pension systems, state Rep. Mike Fortner and possibly the governor’s office are on today’s agenda.

The House and Senate are in session tomorrow on the concealed carry veto by the governor. Another bill to watch this week is House Bill 214:

This is the final piece of the budget and includes appropriations for a number of state agencies and the Legislature. The governor has not acted on this bill yet.
