I was just hung up on the (so called) Illinois State Police Customer Service Center while inquiring as to the status of my FOID card which I have been expecting in the mail for the last 2.5 months. I was promptly yelled at for simply expressing (in a very kind and civil manner) that I was a bit confused as to why my check was cashed, but yet there is no record of my application. Upon asking for her name, she told me she didn’t have to give it to me and then quite suddenly hung up. Upon calling back, a very friendly lady told me that they currently have no supervisor and I would have to file an official citizen complaint. I think something’s wrong here.
